Proponents of non-Buddhist tenets who assert that all objects of knowledge are included in nine categories:\n1. {srog} [prāṇa]/ life-force\n2. {zag pa/} [āstrava]/ contamination\n3. {sdom pa/} [saṁvara]/ vows\n4. {nges par rga ba/} [avaṡyajara]/ old-agedness\n5. {'ching pa/} [bandhana]// bindings (delusions)\n6. {las/} karma\n7. {sdig pa/} [akalyāṇa]/ non-virtue\n8. {bsod nams/} [puṇya]/ merits\n9. {thar pa/} [mokṣa]/ liberation. They believe that liberation can be attained through resorting io practices of asceticism such as going naked, not speaking and so forth. |
