ming can (without specification)

The group dbang phyug mig gsum, « The 3 eyes of Lord Shiva », contain 3 categories : yellow (ming can ser po), black (ming can nag po) and blue (lha mo lug skyes ma'i mig, or lug mig, « The eye of the goddess Lug skyes ma »). ming can ser po grow around rocks on steep slopes or sandy sites at lower altitude. They have yellow flowers of caracteristic odour and thick leaves. ming can nag po is hardly described, grows in rocky places of high altitude, has yellow flowers and thick leaves. Both types produce a sticky substance and have a strong smell. lug mig grows in sunny or shaded meadows, has small, light-green, rounded leaves, a dark-brown, tall stalk and blue flowers with a yellow interior part (Kletter 2001)
