The first Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche worked together with Dzogchen Rinpoche to establish Dzogchen Monastery in 1685. After the death of the 1st Dzogchen Rinpoche, the 1st Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche became abbot of Dzogchen Monastery.
