The Fifth Mura Rinpoche Tenzin Khachab Dorje was born as his previous incarnation’s great grandson and was recognized by a consensus of many great masters. He is highly learned and rich in the pure and good spiritual qualities of a true master. He is a great teacher, debater and writer and engages in much study, contemplation and meditation. With his excellent command of Tibetan, Chinese and English he works world-wide to promote the qualities of compassion and kindness as the all-benefiting root of happiness, and to spread the holy Buddhist teachings.

Mura Rinpoche  is considered to be an emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. His fifth incarnation, Tenzin Kachab Dorje, was recognized by His Holiness and is the throne holder of Gelong Monastery in Dzachuka. He is a graduate of Shri Singha Buddhist University and an Assistant Director. He has also studied in the great Gelug monastery of Drepung in Lhasa and has an all-encompassing mastery of the scriptures. Mura Rinpoche is the Director of Dzogchen Pema Tung Great Perfection Retreat Centre, and is fluent in both English and Chinese. He acts as Kyabje Pema Kalsang Rinpoche's personal assistant and interpreter, and also manages the community aid projects of the Kalsang Foundation. He is currently reconstructing and enlarging Gelong Monastery, a major seat of the Dzogchen Longchen Nyingtik, and the famous Mura Mani monument, one of the most ancient and largest collections of mani carvings in the world.
