The Shel phreng describes 4 minerals in a single notice :
smug po sbal rgyab (identified with the iron oxides Hematite),
dkar po sbal rgyab (identified either with Wollastonite or Limestone / Stalactites),
dkar po chig thub (identified with either Gypsum / Anhydrite or Wollastonite) and
smug po chig thub (identified with Goethite).
Gypsum is the most common sulphate mineral, found as both massive material, including the alabaster variety; and clear crystals, the selenite variety. When the mineral contains water, it is called Gypsum, when it does not, it is called Anhydrite (Calcium sulfate [CaSO4]) (mindat.org).
There is an intriguing difference in the identification for dkar po chig thub (and, more important, also for the succeeding notice of gangs thig) between Yeshi (2018) and dGa' ba'i rDo rje (2018). Yeshi has Gypsum/Anhydride for the first, and the Zinc ore Smithsonite for the second. dGa' ba'i rDo rje repeats Wollastonite for dkar po chig thub (same as for dkar po sbal rgyab) and gives Gypsum/Anhydride for gangs thig.
