Short biography
- 1524-1568 - Nesar Jamyang Khyentse Wangchuk [RY]
- Khyentse Wangchuk (1524-1568) Founder of Khyenri school of painting at Zhalu Monastery of the Tharpa Sakya Lineage - One of the two foremost student of Tsarchen Losal Gyatso, together these two play a very pivotal roll within the Tsarpa, Lamdre, and Sakya lineage at large. He was also an important receiver and holder of the Northern Treasures lineage of Dorje Drak Monastery [BL]
