མགོན་དཀར
lit. "white protector"; refers mostly to the protector known as "mgon dkar yid bzhin nor bu" or the "White Protector Wish-fulfilling Jewel", a special form of the Six-armed Mahakala who is the protector of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition, included among the "Thirteen Empowerments of the Protector‎." The two skeleton deities popular among some Tibetan traditions, commonly known as "dur khrod bdag po" or "Lords of the Cemetery", are also occasionally referred to as "mgon dkar." [TSD]
