Magon Chamdrel (ma mgon lcam dral) is one of the primary protector practices of the Longchen Nyingthig cycle of Terma revelations. This sadhana is centered around the wisdom Dharma Protectress Ekajati, one of the most important protectors of the Dzogchen tradition. Along with that of the Five Medicine Sisters, this practice is the main protector sadhana for this cycle of teachings. According to Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, one of the great contemporary masters of this tradition, this practice is extremely restricted. The full empowerment for this practice is only bestowed upon those who have completed the entire Longchen Nyingthig Ngondro, accumulated 10,000 Vajra Guru Mantras, and practiced the three roots of this tradition in their entirety.
