These paths of ripening and liberation are two vital parts of [[Vajrayana]] practice: the [[empowerment]]s which ripen one's being with the capacity to realize the [[four kayas]], and the liberating [[oral instruction]]s enabling one to actually apply this insight which is introduced through the empowerment.
