DharmaDictionary.net aims to be:
- a dictionary of current usage
- a record of the recent and present-day Tibetan Buddhist teachers, translators & Translation groups involved in bringing the Dharma into the English language
- a site for current shedra schools in international locations
- a compilation site for dictionaries and glossaries between Tibetan and English
- access to online Tibetan texts in Wylie format
- a website of Resources and Translation-tools for lotsawas and scholars
- a database of common Quotes used in Tibetan literature
- a listing of historically important Buddhist Masters, Lineages, & Literature
- a place to include indices and backmatter material of old and new translation works
- as non-sectarian and open-minded as possible
- available on the Internet for free use by everyone
- dynamic and growing, rather than static and stagnant
- a lotsawa-network with a database of translations of major and minor texts.
