Magon Chamdrel (ma mgon lcam bral) is a manifestation of the wisdom Dharma Protectress Ekajati. This manifestation is associated particularly with the Longchen Nyingthig cycle of Terma revelations. Along with the Five Medicine Sisters, she is the primary protectress of this cycle of teachings. According to Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, one of the great contemporary masters of this tradition, the practice of this form of Ekajati is extremely restricted. The full empowerment for this practice is only bestowed upon those who have completed the entire Longchen Nyingthig Ngondro, accumulated 10,000 Vajra Guru Mantras, and practiced the three roots of this tradition in their entirety.
