Eight Tibetan Vidyadharas (bod kyi rig 'dzin brgyad). Eight accomplished disciples of Guru Rinpoche who attained realization through grub pa bka' brgyad. RY.

Eight disciples (rje 'bangs brgyad). The eight chief recipients in Tibet of the Eight Sadhana Teachings transmitted by Guru Rinpoche: King Trisong Deutsen, Namkhai Nyingpo, Sangye Yeshe of Nub, Gyalwa Cho-yang, Yeshe Tsogyal, Palgyi Yeshe, Palgyi Senge, and Vairotsana.
